Tim Cook is the most recent technology CEO to have a meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, is set to have dinner with President-elect Donald Trump on Friday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, as reported by The New York Times. This will be Cook's first meeting with Trump since the election. During Trump's first term, Cook built a close relationship with him, which many other tech CEOs have tried to copy. As Trump gets ready for his second term, Cook might want to talk about potential tariffs that could greatly impact Apple's business. He may also want to discuss the European Union's actions against Apple. During his campaign, Trump mentioned that Cook called him to express concerns about the fines Apple is facing in the EU, related to accusations of unfair practices in App Store policies and how Apple manages devices like the iPhone and Mac. Cook's meeting comes after Trump spoke with Google CEO Sundar Pichai yesterday and plans to meet Amazon founder Jeff Bezos next week. In November, Trump also met with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Tech companies and leaders, including Meta, Amazon, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, have been trying to gain favor with the President-elect by donating $1 million to his inauguration fund.
